Walk with me
Lately I have felt so overstimulated between a lack of movement, an overabundance of social media, and just a disconnect in general with the life around me. I have made a goal for myself to scroll less and move more.
I'm starting slow so I don't burn myself out because I have never been consistent with working out. Typically, I find a program online or a series of info graphs on Pinterest but never stick with it. So instead, I've started with a small goal of walking 30 minutes Monday-Friday. On the weekends I might add more intense movement in, but the M-F walking is my priority right now.
My new routine looks like this:
wake up before the rest of my family, normally 1 hour is enough time
add a pinch of Redmond’s salt and 1 drop of lemon essential oil to a glass, fill with water, warm for 30 seconds in the microwave
walk for 30 minutes and drink entire glass of water
Usually while I'm walking, I scroll social media, so my next goal is to start reading instead. Baby steps though!
It's only been one week but I am already feeling a decrease just in my overall tension and stress levels by starting my day in the peace and quiet before everyone else wakes up.
