How my husband lost 50lbs

My husband has tried so many different diets and workout regimes over the years but normally the weight loss doesn’t stick, and it comes back on within the following weeks and months.

At his heaviest, he weighed in at 220 pounds. After changing to a keto diet, he has not only lost 50 pounds, but he has been able to maintain the weight loss and still enjoy the foods he’s eating without starving himself or working out like a maniac. He now sits around 170 pounds at any given time.

The best part of his diet is it does not affect or disrupt our family meals together. To elaborate, I am not on a keto diet by any means, but we can still enjoy the same dinner together in the evenings with either minor or no changes at all to what we're eating as a family.

A typical days’ worth of meals looks something like this for him:

Breakfast
black coffee and a keto chow shake

Lunch

Dinner
meat and vegetables
tacos with carb balance tortillas
keto pizza
etc., there really are so many meal options!

Snacks
ratio keto yogurt
cheese
slim fast snacks - his favorite, that I even steal to snack on, are the crispy caramels

Keto chow shakes really are the key for his weight loss. As long as he continues his diet, even on weeks he isn’t able to get a workout in, his weight does not fluctuate.

He has been so successful on keto that it has been over a year on this lifestyle, and he doesn’t plan to make any changes anytime soon.
